So does the VX have a holder on the sill next to the driver seat for the white stick then?

Odd thing stylist but only Elise owners think they're pretty whereas only elise owners DON'T think VX's are pretty.
VX = first truly 21st century roadster design, applauded by all commentators (except Elise owners)
Elise = 1980's Ferrari Dino fibre kit-car for a Cortina chassis by JAGO with free chest Wig

Talk about Sweeping generalisms.
I own an elise and I didn't get asked !!! I happen to love the VX and treat em on the road
just like an elise, ie wave and flash. Thing is, most of the vx220 boys just don't wave/flash back, maybe
coz they think I'm "one of those lotus bigots", which is utter toss.
Reason for buying the elise over the Vx, simple, the wife prefered it
So, if you see a Ruby Red Lotus Elise S2 around suffolk/essex and esp cambridge (a428/m11) during the week, be nice and wave

I agree Fishslice with what you say, the sad thing is that there are far more Elise's out there than VX's and I'm afraid a lot of owners are a bit jealous of the VX for their own reasons, not everyone of course.
I personally acknowledge Elise drivers and most of the time dont get any nod back or wave, but each to there own I guess.
Ps. I only let the wife choose the colour!

I flash and wave to Elises, and all bar a couple have returned the gesture or made the gesture first.
I had a great day out with the Essex Elises before Xmas on a run around Essex & Suffolk. All the Elise owners were very friendly, many showed an interest in the car, and several said they liked the VX - INCLUDING the styling.
Styling is always gonna be a subjective and personal thing. I like the S2 and I like the VX. The S2 looks more flash, but in some respects I find the design a bit fussy. The VX I think looks more aggressive with its low, flat front edge, but there are little things like the grille and the line of the wing not matching up to the crease in the door, that take the edge off. Neither is perfect, but both are great cars. Owning or liking a VX or Elise is not a mutually exclusive thing.

I have lots of friends with elise,s and 90% of them are ok about the car and have always flashed or waved,and i always do ,as a sort of better looking relative sort of thing,only joking
