Guys - slight delay today with the unexpected, temporary closure of our concierge. If the parts arrive today, I probably won't get them until tomorrow. Will keep you updated and get on to distributing them out ASAP. In other news, I'm locked out of the VX, with a flat batteries (main & CL backup) - I have been given an technique to try which sounds plausible, so I'll give it a try when I get home... It would be a nightmare to have the freshly anodise parts arrive and then only be able to fit the filler cap!

I know it's been inconvenient. Arguably worse for me since I don't even have a top to my gearstick! Apart from a short trip up to Nicol's to fit the heater, I've not been driving it around for about three weeks; hence the flat battery.

Nope - no keyhole. Backup battery is toast too. Marvellous.

Cut a wire coat hanger into a long length and make a hook on it, thread through window rubber and hook onto window winder. Oops forgot no winders! Lol. Try hooking onto bonnet lever and pull, then charge battery.

I got in yesterday thanks. and Our parts have arrived! They were waiting for me when I got in to work. As soon as I get a chance I'll open up the package and take a quick look. Will do a proper job when I get home tonight.

So far I've only seen one of Nicol's mat screws. Looked great, although it didn't look like there had been any resurfacing/refinishing (just the bead-blasting to take off the layer of laquer/dirt.) I'll see them all properly out of the packaging a bit later, when I get home.

My fuel cap and surround just arrived and look good. Thanks for arranging this Dunk. Just out of interest, the fuel cap appeared to be press fit on the plastic underneath, is it worth using some adhesive on this when refitting?
