I know there are a fair few people keeping an eye on the adaptronics ecu results that Duncan & Chris (efi) have been on with, so here is my dyno result for those that are interested, I haven't picked it up yet so can't comment on how it drives etc

The setup is z20leh, miltech, crappy induction kit that (can't remember which make but needs changing when I can afford it) m32 box, standard intercooler and mapped on 95ron because i forgot to fill with the good stuff, not bad results considering!

Nice result :) Very very smooth, and with great torque! Be very interested to see what it did on fresh 99ron fuel!

Yea can't believe I put 95 in! That said on standard intercooler I don't think I could have asked for more

tbh its better you put 95 in... I'd have any engine setup on the dirtiest nastiest fuel rather than the spangly sh*t you might not have one day and melt a piston.

power is smooth but that torque dip at 3K looks like it'd be irritating. Then again it might feel totally different on the road as a dyno can give misleading answers to feel :)

You definetly cant feel it on the road ;) I drove it for a while last Sunday before Chris collected and soooooo easy to drive slow and a pussy cat even in bad conditions. Well until you ask for more of it and mated to the lower ratio 6 speed box is plenty quick enough to get into trouble (may have had a moment :D on my local lanes lol) its is so smooth that like driving an N/A you feel the need to push a bit harder in the bends - its just a lot quicker I know Chris is more than happy but will leave him to feedback when he gets time as he works long shifts For reference the spec is Standalone conversion LEH standard engine with LET 3.3 bar FPR OEM I/C M32 conversion OEM intake pipe with pipercross filter on the end 2.5inch Miltek full exhaust Short belt mod Plenty of things as part of the conversion as it was an N/A prior With a better intake / exhaust / uprated pump / CC or I/C the setup is good for 316bhp ;) or 326bhp+ on other rollers lol :D DG

I picked the car up from Duncan's late on Sunday night, having set off at 8.30am to collect a Hillman Imp and a motorbike from south west Wales first I was shattered by the time we arived with Duncan. However, when we pulled up and I cought sight of the VX I was as excited as when we first set off :D Duncan said he had a moment test driving it and I soon felt why, only 1/4 mile or so away from Duncans and I proded the pedal a tad further  on cold greasy tarmac it soon gives a little shake of the rear to remind you there is plent of power to get you into trouble should you push the boundrys too far :D the pedal setup feels very nice and I havent felt the need to adjust it in the slightest, firmer than standard but in a nice way. Anyway sitting behind my dad from Coventry back to Doncaster while he towed the imp and bike back at 70mph gave me plenty of time to play with the car, 6th gear at 70mph pulls like a train with only a slight press of the pedal instantly matching you to whatever car was passing in the outer lane, something to keep me occupied on the slow journey back  in 6th gear at 70mph it is amazing on fuel too thumbsup As we left the M1 and entered the slip road onto the M18 a waggon pulled into the outer lane and when it pulled back over my dad was 1/2 mile up motorway :D :drink: time to see how she goes from 60-somewhere north that I wont mention  decided to drop the gears and give it full beans, slight wiggle of the rear and then OHH MY F*CK*N GOD it shifts, my eyes and mind struggled to keep track of passing scenery and within seconds im approaching the rear of a trailer at silly speed and braking for all I am worth, I looked in the mirror and the wagon and cars are still about 1/2 mile away  needless to say I had one very big :D Not had much chance to drive it since the weekend as for the most part the weather has been poor here but, on the couple of occasions I have it has been everything I had hoped for thumbsup my main concern going into this was how the power would be delivered as I had considered supercharging originally. Not wanting to follow the croud and feeling confident in Duncan I decided to go with the Z20LEH, I have to admit the thought of the added torque from the turbo was a strong pulling factor for me. I can confidently say that with the standalone and Chris's mapping the power delivery is very controlable, you can feed the power in a very controlled manor without fear (I havent tried this mid corner yet as the roads have been damp since I collected it) and it holds mid throttle very well and just wistles away to itself. Anyway im afraid thats all I can say for some time as unfortunatly yesterday someone slid into it in the ice :( thankfully at such a slow speed that the damage is minimal, a smashed head lamp and a crack in the clam from the edge of the lamp to the wheel arch and also around the edge of my louver in the wing so the car now has to go away again for repairs and await a black drivers side headlamp from some where as there doesnt seem to be any available anywhere at the moment :( hopefully I can get it back again for the summer so that I can enjoy the new engine and gearbox in full

Did a lot of fine tuning on Chris car during the last belt of VERY cold weather for cold start and was able to change the simulated setting for cold start down to a genuine -10deg (got to -11 by me :o, but reg -5 for the best part of a week). Previosuly not seen the real temps of sub 0 - all taken from the calibrated sensor in the engine On the original settings it was struggling when REALLY cold but totally sorted now and file updates stored for the future configurations DG
