Errrrmmmmm. No idea. Guess it's something FPR related but wouldn't swear to it. Hopefully Exmantaa or Smiley will be along shortly.....

He's asking if your FPR (regulator at end of fuel rail) is connected to the top of the inlet manifold. It's a small vacuum pipe, about 3-4mm.
Some people have disconnected it in the past but I think most people have it connected now.

Would you recommend it's connected? What are the advantages of it being connected

Connect it, then the fuel pressure is adjusted according to boost pressure. (Delta pressure accross the injector stays the same.) This ways you get a bit more juice out of the injectors at full boost and idling is better due to the reduced pressure. Z20LET inj should be OK for 250-260HP, if pressure regulated as above.

Red arrow points to the small pipe in your manifold, pointing up, and the blue arrow points to your fpr.

This silly transparent hose is wat CS sells. Looks stupid, and was replaced with 3mm black vacuum hose later.

It affects fuel pressure throughout the whole range from vacuum to boost (lower pressure at vacuum, higher pressure in boost). Having it connected it will possibly be able to stretch your injectors a little farther because of the higher pressure in boost. I'm guessing most cars running this software will have it connected (as is standard) It means the map on the ecu will have different values in the fuel table (between conencted/disconnected) and if you are planning to share/compare maps with others I would recommend leaving it connected.

Black tubby injectors are usually fine if all hardware is running at 100%. Just run a few loggings with the software, so you can check the result. If needed that you hit poor afr at high rpm (like i did at 6500), you can: - Decide to put your rpm cut off at 6750 - Add the blue injectors and cap off over 7k, for a full needle swipe that will make you rock hard.

im going to be running with a 3.1" pulley so it will be limited to 6750 RPM unless someone can give reassurance that a higher RPM on standard internals with 3.1" pulley

got it back early this week (very fast turnaround)
put it on car yesterday and fired it up - idling perfectly at 14.7! relief :)/>
now taking stuff apart again to do last bits of wiring and fit the new fuel pump

Keep us informed when you have given it a run

No one will give you that :D
Proper way is to take it to RR and see what it's running and raise the limit to what's safe.
Even then you'd want some fudge factor for different RR results.

If you're getting the Dutch software just run on the lower limit until your proper pulley arrives and then raise the limit.

Then don´t rev the tits out of it, untill you get some values logged on afr over 6k.
With 3.1 on a stock engine you are a member of a small club.

Hoping to get rev limit to 6750 and keep engine in 1 piece

Will do

Unique to ecu (and immobiliser code me thinks)
If you need to swap ecu because of issues, i doubt he will charge you again.
(unless you do it every week, and they start appearing on ebay incl immobiliser key and chip).
