Ecu has a unique ID number. (Not the immobiliser code, as that can be erased and paired to another immo unit.)

Was thinking more from "chooning" as in others get their ecu done and I go fiddle using their ID for their ecu.

The hardest thing is to find in Dutch the English settings

Last item in the menu bar is called Algemeen (general)
Then click Instellingen (settings)
Change top dropdown option from Nederlands to Engels.
Then click OK. Language should change instantly.

How long you had the ECU

I'm an early adapter.
Had version 1 with my 2.4 inlet kit, and ran 2.0 on my SC kit since beta.

2.5 also allows for open loop idle. I am currently experimenting with this to try and find the best settings. Still a working progress to get good settings not as straight forward as I first thought. Closed loop compensates all the time which covers up any issues with the idle mapping. The open loop stops my lumpy idle so will try to get this right!

As per the pm, chuck in more ign advance at idle, you can put lots in down there safely.

Yeah, good idle with the Ecotec can be tricky and if you have hotter cams (less efficient @ idle), put some more advance in. The O2 sensor distance in a VX does not help in closed loop... (And also with the LSJ ecu the idle needs attention, but I have a bit more idle tables to play with. )

As per the pm, chuck in more ign advance at idle, you can put lots in down there safely. I have done this now. Back to closed loop with more advance I will see how it settles down. It already had more advance than standard but have added about 2.5 (not sure if the values are in degrees?) more this seems the best setting and I am getting better vacuum. If i keep adding advance idle starts to get worse until it becomes unstable. Peter will be getting sport cams so I am sure he will be looking at this in more detail.
