Think off top of head you process the measurements and save (file name of choice) then program ECU to make the changes permanent. I did this before I turned the ignition off. I assume it can be done afterwards as long as the data is saved but didn't do it this way? Also when you process the measurements you the option to get the software to auto update and smooth these should be ticked. Do not tick the knock retard at this point.

I can retrieve and make data perminant but before I did this I wanted to have the whole map ready, Did you save your base map

Don't have to do it like that and don't think you can but could be wrong? You will have to apply the current data then go out and concentrate on any part of the map that needs further work. You can do this process over a number of sessions it just won't make further changes to fully learnt parts of the table.

So it wouldent overide base map with data which is not proven

Say you have all the cells green 0-3000 rpm and apply the changes then did it all again for the same rpm range you would see that the changes +/- would be very small or non at all. Look at your current results you can see where it is adding and subtracting fuel.

But what about the revs outside the 0-3000 rpm Would they just stay at the base map

No
It will not put incorrect data in the table.

You can double check with Peter but if there is insufficient data it will make little or no change to the current base table.

Yes add as you go along. I did it all in one go for the fuel table but did about 4 sessions for the knock retard you will do later.

I am assuming the info you put in for car weight etc was way off or somthing else went wrong? Make sure you measure your wheel circumference and don't use the size based on the tyre size. You did the run in 2nd gear? Don't worry about this yet you will have to do this multiple times when getting the best ignition settings. I found the power readings very consistent. weather pro and my altitude apps good for the other the other info required.

Somthing must have been way off though. 20bhp? You know your car weighs 850kg + your weight. To get 20 bhp you must have put in 85 kg. Check your data this can be changed after the power run has been done anyway. Car 2nd gear 1000rpm gently put pedal to floor and wait for rev limiter to kick in. I would want my fuelling to be correct first though. Have fun.

Did you process the information and save the map? Have you programmed the ECU? This is the most time consuming bit done now. Just a bit of fine tuning and you can enjoy driving the car.

Yes saved map,
I sent map back to ECU
Does that now make it perminant on the ECU

Can't comment on your mpg but I wouldn't consider the way you drive when mapping normal. Also you are now having to provide enough fuel for 250 bhp!
