Can I assume Peter would be happy to have quick glance at a log from everyone who purchased the software once they think they're there with the mapping.

Yes, as long as you are aware that the good man has a dayjob and may not respond within a day.
I have found him always helpfull, even when i did plain stupid things with the software, like not updating the ecu after receiving an update from him, doing wrong logging etc.
Very, very patient man. Kuddo´s to him on that.

Cheers Smiley
Not expecting 5 minute responses. Just wasn't sure if the aftercare/support that he's given so far is just because of the launch or something he plans on carrying on for all customers.
Anyway my minds made up... Now where was that eBay listing for a spare ECU

I believe he can. He can match it up to your existing immobiliser transponder in the car, if you have the code card. Or better yet, given the amount of immobiliser errors cropping up on here, can bin the immobiliser functionality all together.

I'm sure I remember reading that he can rewrite the immobiliser code on the ECU. (He'll need either the code card or you'll need to send him the old ECU so he can read the code off that) That way you can have your original ECU and the "special Dutch" ECU both working off the same immobiliser chip.

:yeahthat: I have an ecu with the crazy dutch software, and another with a CS mapping on it.
Did not have a code card or anything. Peter can fish it out of the ecu if needed. I now also have the code, without handing over any cash to opel (which i hate)

Ideally you need to do multiple runs in opposite directions on the same piece of road. It will then give an average vaule of all the runs. Also try and find the very best road surface you can find as it has a big effect on the smoothness of the graph ( not easy in the UK I know). Make sure you measure the rear wheel size by marking the tyre and roll the car until it reaches the same point and measuring the distance travelled in mm. Mine was quite a bit off what the online calculators said it would be. Headline figures looking good though well done.

wasent able to go to mad on the power runs due to a lot of police and a lot of traffic coming from oulton park today, any idea why i wasent able to do power runs in 2nd gear, 3rd gear is harder to find a space in trafffic and you going to fast at rev limiter

All my power runs were done in 2nd gear. I didn't think it worked in the other gears? You will have to ask Peter about that. I am away this weekend but only live about 5 mins from Oulton Park you will have to let me know when you are next passing. The Police seem to have a close eye on the area at the moment due to the large number of bikes, increased by the J&S bike super store at the end of our road.
