Can I use a secondary lambda cheat with this software ?

No it needs second lambda and you will need wide band

From the "Overview" page on his website "Programmable catalytic converter check" So I'd assume that no, it doesn't need the 2nd Lambda sensor. You also don't need a "cheater" you just disable the check.

Davemate had some spare a few weeks ago, drop him a pm, or see who has them in a box on the shelf and replace them with zip ones they took about a week to get here.

I had two sets, sold tem to Arctic and Bargi... They got a bargain too :)

Disabling in the software does not mean eligable for removal iirrc. The presence check remains.

Really? Not claiming that I know but I can't see any logic for that. So the sensors doesn't do anything but it still checks that the sensor is there?

That option just disables the EML for the emissions check  - when the cat is malfunctioning (or missing  )

EML will still come on if the lambda sensor itself is not plugged in or faulty in another way

We discussed this earlier in either this thread or chill's thread but the 2nd lambda is still used to "back up" the first one, possibly to make it more accurate or in case of failure

There is no way in hell it can make the system more accurate. It is only a simple bang bang sensor.

calibrated correctly , arguably you could discard both sensors.

yes, with proper calibration and software you 'could' run open loop and have things still accurate enough and less breakages to worry about. although that does then put all your eggs in the inlet sensors being right basket.

All i mentioned was that peter was testing it when i met him. He's at Zandvoort with LOT coming friday. I'll ask what his plans are.

Excellent, guess I'll see you guys there Friday.

He wants to cram more functionality into v3 then just water injection and multimap, so this is not gonna happen/released any time soon.

Chaps got a quick question.

I've taken the plunge and money and ECUs are on their way to Holland

Peter has come back to me asking for my spec which is the regular CS setup and said the following.

I think the MAP sensors from Courtenay Sport cannot measure the boost
temperature, for this you will need a TMAP sensor from Bosch and you have
to modify your wiring loom to make it work

What's the modifications needed with the M62 in place to fit it?

I have the 2.5bar TMAP sensor in prep for the Harrop later, but if it's a benefit to fit it now and it's not to hard I'm thinking why not?

The 2.5 TMAP is the OEM GM fitment on the M62 LSJ engine, so you would have very few issues fitting it on an M62 Z22SE...
