I don't think there are many people who have gone from one to another without changing anything else, from my perspective (having driven other supercharged VX's compared to mine) I've found the cold driving, and intermediate throttle response much better, plus the scope for customisation is much greater so I know the software has much greater potential for development that the CS map. The website does have a lot of useful information and it convinced me to go this route, but it will take time to digest.

Just caught up ont his thread. Incase is needs saying again, you NEED both the lambda sensors (CAT or no CAT) with this software. It is not possible to remove one or both of them. It will throw up an EML light and stop you from mapping.

Anyone done a check with this software to see how reliable the bhp/torque figures are? Just wondering if someone has put it on a dyno and got a figure then checked what OBD says on the same dyno?

I can't say for you're car, but a few dutch stage II obd results were pretty near the mark on bhp, just to optimistic on torque.

I have not seen any stage 4 obd results.

Better stick to a dyno for end results, and only use obd to measure the result of changes you made (preferaby on same day with same weather conditions).

nothing yet just wondering how accurate it is, am awaiting some bits for the car to allow me to get this thing sorted.

one thing when I was doing some logging I noticed the IAT were not too bad, when sat for a long time at idle they got to 54C but running the highest so far with some power runs was 45C  18c daytime temp

Not to bad, as with those temps you should have full potential.

It's from 57 and up that obd starts dialing down.

Some trackers reaching 90, throw away about 50 horsies at peak, hence the quest for water/meth injection.

If you don't track it, i don't think you'll need it.

Worth noting for those with the software the best time to map seems to be when weather conditions are moderate. It make sense really but I did a fuel learn when very hot the the long term trims have been out since. Just done another learn and the fuelling has gone back to similar levels pre hot fuel learn. So now would be a good time to carry out a fuel learn session if your original ones were done during the hot (for UK) summer months.

Not in my case. Not sure why but during the very hot weather the fuel learn upped the fuel I think there is more to this than the air temps. Probably more to do with the effect of a very hot exhaust on the O2 sensor. What ever the reason was the fuel trims were pulling fuel so just carried out a fuel learn and fuel has been pulled from the fuel map. Trims are now much closer to zero.

Car driving much better now quite surprised how much better it feels. I won't be running a fuel learn in very warm temps again!

Do we think the ECU will eventually self compensate for all the factors which effect it, Or should we have different maps for different conditions??
