The zzp ones were 82lb. Dbilas says 86kp, not sure if that is same units but in german??

They were discussed here:

dbilas is 76lb

just wondering how much better these were than the standard springs on the z22se and b207

I fitted the super tech double valve springs in mine if you are going to up your rev limit change the standered springs the last thing you want is to drop or to have valve bounce :-(

sorry, not technical, but there was a massive difference in compressibility of stnd Vs Diblas springs, they weren't even close... The Diblas felt twice as hard.

Chill It is not a big job to change valve springs. Has the head been fitted with new bolts by Vocky?

no, its ready for the cams to go in, but i am going to change springs, i have been worried about the timing chain as there is no markers on the cogs and think its worth asking about doing the springs cams and timing all at the same time,

There will be markings on the timing chain and sprockets. The chain in my saab has the coloured links on. I just done the chains on my NA and I am mechanical novice. You won't have any problem doing it on engine stand.

The Saab cam sprockets have no locators like the z22se sprockets so not so easy!

Do you have to do it off the cam lobes then?

Yeah I think so. Remember Graeme has got springs off zzp, you wouldn't want a lesser engine than him would you??

Graham is in a different league from me

Don't know, you have forged your internals etc and I haven't.

Different team formation, same league!

And yes, ZZP supertech springs are sat beside the cams at the mo, waiting to be delivered to Matt Bentley.

Yes I think so. I assume Saab had a tool to lock the cams in position before the sprockets are bolted on. The good thing with them is you can adjust the cam timing.
