Do you have to do it off the cam lobes then?

Yes I think so. I assume Saab had a tool to lock the cams in position before the sprockets are bolted on. The good thing with them is you can adjust the cam timing.
The sprocket does have the bigger hole for using the checking tool after turning the engine manually 720 degrees

Would it not be handy to create 1 central B207 conversion thread, and try to keep all stuff in it?

Now all major technical stuff is splattered in a group buy topic, a cams topic and a software topic.

Turns out somone has tried obd tuner on a Astra and all other functions like traction control are working

Latest version of OBD tuner has revised power settings putting torque where it should be (lower). Power is also slightly lower. Peter has re-calibrated the software to a hub dyno where multiple runs were done.

I have lost 6 bhp and 15 Nm. Peter now thinks it is much more accurate. My graph is now making peak power higher in the rev range are you seeing the same Chill?
