Powerwise it will not differ much (and it should not..)

Driving it and feel it actually on the road is a totally different matter.

With the map sensor problems people are having with limp mode and cutting out on the harrop. LSJ sensor can measure only up to 200kPa (1.0 bar boost) this is not enough for a Harrop setup, boost levels are higher with Harrop, so you need at least the Bosch 2.5 bar MAP sensor suitable for 1.5 bar boost. The car going into limp mode is normally not caused by the MAP sensor, the OEM software can handle a maxed out MAP sensor without going into limp mode. Normally the limp mode is caused by the misfire check. For power levels above 250hp, it is pushed outside its limits and ECU thinks the car is misfiring and goes into limp mode. With ObdTuner you can disable the misfire check and you will have no problems.

No issues Ray :D I fancy doing a straight comparison between CS and OBDtuner and am booked in at CS in 3 months time for some RR time. I've got a spare ECU so thought I might as well get Peter's software on there, but it would need to be swappable as I'm more happy with my CS setup.

Yep you can do that, like I said I changed nothing and ran ODBTuner configured for the CS default setup and then swap back and forth.

Sticking with the MAP sensor I guess you're not getting the best out of ODBTuner over CS map, of course once you do go TMAP you can't go back to CS (which I guess is what you were getting at in earlier)

In your current form at a high level ODBTuner will get rid of the random 3 blips at start and give you a proper cold start map (explained here)

What I got most out of it was OEM throttle feel and progression. The CS map left it very titchy (perhaps worse with the 3 inch pulley)

You'll also notice a difference with small throttle inputs, where the CS map will bog very slightly and you get the whispy/twittering sound it's all but gone with ODBTuner.

It's more of a subtle change going to ODBTuner, def worth it though.

I know that. The thing I was thinking was getting everything done before so when it comes lr I can get it on the dyno to see what bhp it's running.

Right guys I've paid for the software and going through my stuff with peter. I was asking him what revs to set my engine at as it would be nice to hit 60 in second. He says 7400rpm should be ok as I have the balancer delete and valves/ spring uprated. What are your thoughts as I'm not sure if 7400 rpm is a bit high.

You can hit 60 in second gear @ 7100 ish You can adjust this in the future very easily I will be reving mine to over 7500 aventually maybe even as high as 7800 if I can still get the power of the SC

Think my problem might be my 4.17 ratio gear box. Sounds like 7400 rpm will be ok. You sure your engine would take 7800 rpm ok? What stuff have you got fitted to your engine?

So I could take mine a lot higher then 7400 rpm? Will the Saab side of yours be helping out?

Might be worth asking vocky All I no is on standard valve springs and stock z22se I was reving at 7100 with no issues I was under the impression others are reving higher on standard valve springs.

You can. Whether it's worth it or not depends on whether your engine is still delivering power then or whether it's tailing off.

Il send him a pm. I can remember a while back reading when I was stage 3 that 7200 rpm was perfect and anymore was pushing the engine past it limits.

I've got a 7500rpm limit on mine with standard valve springs. You'll be fine up to 7800rpm with the uprated valve springs and probably higher but it's unlikely to be worth it. You can set the limit wherever you want in the software.

I'm assuming when I come to set up my car up with this software that it will be easy to read what's going to be best for my engine?

Mean piston velocity of a z22se @ 7600RPM is 23.97 m/s Most race engines don't go much past 25 m/s and that's on MUCH shorter stroke engines! With all that lovely forced induction you'd be better off setting it up to get the power at slightly lower revs.
