And just learning sessions for afr and ignition, are done with laptop disconnected.

So you fire off a learning session via the laptop, then disconnect, and go for your learning drive.

Then when you come back, DO NOT SHUT OFF IGNITION, attach laptop again, then save from ecu learning table to final table.

That's what Peter should add to OBDTuner. Airbag fault clearing, immobiliser key chip programming/pairing and ABS fault clearing (even better if he could work out whatever is needed to put the ABS module into service mode for proper bleeding). Then no more reliance on OpCom or TECH2.

if he could capture the packet stream protocol for resetting the TRW 4 channel abs. Remove immo option would make our life easier.

Yeah, I don't think he was too keen on binning the immobiliser requirement unfortunately. I'm pretty sure he could do it today but I can see his concern that then the ECU could be used to drive away any car.

Do you think he could also add a lotto hack to give winning numbers?

It would be good to know what string need to be sent to the ABS to push the actuator pistons out and then pull them back in. Can't be any more complicated than the command strings on the scangauge to active/deactivate the cooling fans. Would just needed a fully wired OBD cable so that it can talk via the ABS pin in the connector - which I don't think the Scangauge is wired up for.

I highly doubt that Peter will work on that. Just buy a cheap OpCom and you can do all those things, except the ABS bleeding.

Ow, and note that the immobiliser clearing/reprogramming is disabled in OBD Tuner, so you cannot  clear and swap OBD ecu's between cars. Probably some extra copyright security from Peter...

I highly doubt that Peter will work on that.

I highly doubt it too. Extra VX specific features would be more useful than twatpad support though.

If somebody isn't technically literate enough to have chosen something other than an iDevice, they shouldn't be mapping an engine.

I've bought a windows tablet to run permanently in the vx but I'm struggling to get the obd to work with it. When I plug in the obd to the tablet and do a test on the settings tab it says test successful. Once connected to the car and I do a reconnect to ecu it says connected at the bottom right corner but if I try to do a log or power run it says =

Anyone have any ideas how to make it work because if I plug the laptop back in it connects up straight away and works fine.

I've set it at the normal rate of 38400 i think it was. I will have to have a look because I'm sure it would let me select any other speed.

It doesn't tell me port speed in the device manger settings and only says com4. When I got it to connect on the software I had to try loads of the speed rates until it said test successful.
