Much better than a totally standard car on OEM map, by the look/sound of it.

It's loads better then it was standard. I've been cruising for towns in 5th gear which I could never do before.

I'm going to have to sort this as currently mine just splutters at low revs in high gears....

Chuffed there seems to be a fix for it as it is a bit disconcerting thumbsup

The spluttering is because the CS map overfuels over part throttle.

We are talking about the dutch software here though not a CS map - Unless it's a common thing..?

Whatever the cause, if Peter is now in a postion to help improve, I'm a happy bunny thumbsup

This is mainly for after market cams on the Dutch software which some people get cam overlap causing the car to splutter under 2000 ish rpm

Oh, I thought you meant you are still using a CS map.

I'll soon be running stage 2 comp cams on a 2.0 so it'll be a good test of how good the control is.

How is the idle now with these latest OBD mapping improvements? Steady?

I finished my 2.0 with Harrop & ZZP st2 cams this week and the idle (~875) and low load driving seem pretty good sofar But I'm running an LSJ ecu and now playing with injector settings.

These changes don't improve the idle settings. They make a big improvement to tractability at low rpm driving with longer duration cams.

Peter actually found the new settings for low rpm while trying to sort the idle issue I'm interested in how good idle could be mine sounds a little like a muscle car on tick over but I expected this with the cams

The Transient Ignition Retard function is designed to introduce ignition retard during transient conditions.

Transient conditions are identified by a fast change in Throttle Position (TPS) or Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP). Ignition is retarded depending on the rate of change of TPS or MAP, then held retarded for a particular number of engine cycles.
