what do you expect it to do? retard idle ignition to something like 10° so you have lots of torque reserve and an increased idle rpm , you could tune the PID controller perhaps

You can talk as many PID's and other obscure Motronic TLA's as you want Steve, nobody except Peter has that level of access to the calibration. It's not an open ECU like the Bosch's you're twatting about with.

Improved idle will only come with version 3 which will mean a return to Peter and a charge. There will be only so much he can do depending on the cams fitted. Very lairy cams will never have a good idle. But the std ECU can't cope with almost any cam change giving a lumpy idle.

Peter has had some success by changing the PID controller algorithm. Only Peter has this access with our ECU.

The idle really is not that bad on non oem cams The revs don't drop and then chase there selves it's a constant pattern

Yes no real surging just a thud thud. But the idle could be almost OEM for some cams, with the work Peter is carrying out at the moment.

Any harvesting script worth it's salt can cope with a space in an email address. They're not worthy of calling themselves spammers, if they can't parse a list of emails and strip spaces or silly characters.

But I've added a space anyway.

So any news on when v3 will arrive. I'm planning on getting OBD Tuner this month but as I have aftermarket cams I'd like V3. I'd rather not have to post/pay twice though :-(

Think it will be a while and it should only be small charge to upgrade if v1 to v2 is anything to go by.
