Both? Can I not just send my key, and the new ECU? Also, what car do I need to get it from, an Astra or similar?

If you drop peter a email about what you want he will advise you

What is Peters email address? Ta

I bought a £20 z22se ecu on ebay and sent it over to Peter along with the ecu from my car.

I asked him to work his magic on the ebay ecu and keep my one as it is. The reason for this is so that I can still run my car on it's original ecu until the the supercharger is fitted which will happen this weekend.  :)

Took about a week to get the ECUs there and back.

My advice on drilling out the shear bolt holding the ECU in is to buy yourself a "6mm tungsten carbide tipped locksmiths drill bit" from ebay. I think the seller is ukdrills. This went through the shear bolt like a hot knife through butter compared to the titanium coated hss drill bit I was using to begin with.

One other thing while I'm here!

Is there an idiots guide to doing the first learning runs in the car?

It will be a stage 2 s/c conversion and I'm hoping it'll be ok to run the ECU with Peter's base map on the 100 mile journey back home before doing any serious 'learning' with the ECU. I've got a netbook ready to run the software but I'd rather do it close to home just in case I run into any unexpected issues.

Is anyone using a Windows 8 / 8.1 tablet with OBD Tuner? It might be something I look at in the future...

Thanks.

Got mine pretty much sorted now .. Intake temps were 37c on the first run 41c then 42c.. These are the powerrun figures not the logging figures.

I also would imagine that iat will be higher on track chris_nl You might get a power run or two that low in cool conditions, But on saying that your air cooler from the scoop might be helping keep things cooler

Im not saying it wasent the reading chris_nl Just saying it would be higher if the weather was hotter etc and it would be higher if there were continuous running We should also remember our cars are moving on the runs where others are on a rolling road

i would also say you have more in reserve,

ie if you get your ignition sorted your power will get smoother and higher
