Same, same. Go for it. It won't wipe the map.

I managed to. Back up the map on the ECU before you start.

Ah, bit late to back it up as just got back (couldn't wait :) ) Seems to be ok, got most if it in green, but to be honest, not that sure what I'm looking at. Will upload a screen grab in a bit. Thanks

Revs across the top and pressure up the side Harder you accelerate the higher the pressure It's difficult to get all boxes green above 5k revs but you need to do as much as you can There are technique's that you will pick up the more you do it Also try holding revs and allow revs to drop while still having foot on accelerator Try rerving through rev range at diffrent throttle positions

Other side of screen (not so green).

Was out for about an hour and did approx. 10-12 litres of fuel. Just like my school reports, must try harder.

If i was to put the ecu into learn mode again, will i loose what i've done already, or will i just add to it?

Cheers

Only adds if the car is switched on and still in learn mode

So a case of repeating the process (conect laptop, put it into learn mode, drive to try and fill the table green, save the new calibration, send it to the ecu, then make permanent).

It will then update the parts of the table that need work, but kepp the parts that are already good?

Best thing to do if you stop learn mode or stop car is to add what you have already done and make it permanent then go out again adding to the cells which still need work The cells which are already fine will be overwritten when you do a other learn session

Sorry if I'm not understanding this, but if the files that are fine are overwritten, this means I have to start from scratch every time I do a fuel learn? Guess best practice is to get it all done in one hit with laptop plugged in so as I can see my progress.

One hit is better Otherwise you end up going over ground you have already done

I would put the first session down to practice ( but by all means add it to the table ) When you get used to hitting each box you can do a full fuel learn in 2.5 hours

Also if you want when you process the data you can hit the smooth button and it will auto fill the missing cells dependant on the information you have gained

If you can get the higher rev range at least grey with some green you will have good information for you fuel learn You probably won't get all of them to go green

what iwould like to do is somehow create a spreadsheet from the fuel table and then graphically represent each rev range to easily see if there are any major glitches in the map

The gui supports standard windows keys, so ctr+a to select all cells, ctr+c to copy it, then paste in your spreadsheet.

Seems like I have hugely under estimated te time and effort to get an accurate fuel learn. As you say, think ill pit this down to a 'practice' and spend a whole day mapping the car. Peter has seen my files and is happy that everything is as it should be. Thanks all
