When the Harrop is fitted and maped ,I will see how its running with tempratures etc, If I face problems which I can't see , I will look at getting the Dutch map.😀

I'm still after a base map for my 2.2 B207 Harrop with 3.1 pulley and 3" exhaust Or at least can you tell me what pressure range to use for this setup

If Peter will not respond (heared he's very busy last few weeks) you may try Ultimate.

He's been working intensly with peter being one of the first, so may have a basemap or 2 lying around.

If not, maybe he knows one of the germans running that setup also, but not active here.

@ Luke make sure you put a separate filter on if you don't connect to inlet pipe or you will pull shite in to engine

sorry not sure I agree or probably understand. With my breather to atmosphere, if you take the oil filler cap off, put your hand over the filler hole, you can feel the blow by hitting your hand. If you connect the breather to the intake you will feel suction at the filler hole. At know point do I think the breather will suck in air when leftcfree to atmosphere. Am I wrong?

For reference original design Excess gas and oil vapour is vented from the port between the inlet ports on the cylinder head. The vapour is mixed with the fresh air in the inlet manifold and burnt off during normal combustion. Fresh air is pulled in from the cam cover which connects to to the intake pipe after the air filter to ensure the fresh air is filtered. During full throttle applications, the PCV vent closes (there is too much pressure in the manifold and it will actually pressurise the crankcase). This effectively reverses the flow and some gas/vapour will come out of the cam cover CS modification The exhaust vent into the inlet manifold is blocked. This results in just one vent to atmosphere (cam cover) as there is now air trying to flow both out and in through the same hole 'bumping' happens, where volumes of oil are ejected. It's exactly the same as holding a full bottle upside down and letting the liquid drain out - it gluts/bumps as it lets liquid out and air in. This results in higher oil loss. OBD tuner implementation This is exactly the same as the original implementation of the PCV, however the cars typically have higher rev limits which means more time with the PCV vent closed. The implication of this is more time using the cam cover for both venting and pulling in fresh air. Not a problem when an NA, but if this is directly connected to the inlet manifold when supercharged there will be oil pulled into the laminiovas. Place a catch tank or oil filter in line, or use a small separate air filter. So Chris, the reason your car behaves like the PCV is blocked is because you've got a high rev limit, and at high revs the PCV is blocked.

How does the oil seperator catch tanks work with a closed PCV system?

How does the oil seperator catch tanks work with a closed PCV system?

The valve becomes closed under higher revs There are separators in the head but are overwhelmed so access is sucked through cam cover In to catch tank if you have a scourer or obstacle in catch tank it should collect and cool the oil and air continues to the inlet pipe

Does it show how the separators work Some work by having a maze for air/oil to travel which leaves oil behind

Sorry chris I forgot to mention that what I described earlier happens at warm engine tickover. So lowest revs.

Just one more point, do I have to adjust any of the settings via obdtuner or do any mapping runs now that the pcv has been put into operation?

No It's fine to just use it, I think it's more the CS route can't handle it.
