I thought the apexi was good for 500hp??!!

Never heard that but, never ever checked
What adapter plate would be required

Will see when I change my filter
But will be waiting for my ls4 to come before a choose a filter

Thinking of this

ideally go for the biggest filter possible as it will degrade slower , but still give best filtration

thus, 80mm MAF is the smallest part for mine and I used some hose as a sleeve to match the wider filter flange

Pic above: Don't know if its oem setup but I've learned not to put the MAF right after the filter because of turbulent airflow and therefore wrong readings. I had stalling issues with this setup on my Nissan. Put a 15cm ic-pipe between the filter and maf and all was well.

OEM air filter housings/attachments tend to have a coarse mesh or plastic honeybomb in the connecting pipe for that purpose. The mesh/honeycomb cuts the turbulence in the airflow and allows a MAF to work properly.

However, Z22SE doesn't have a MAF and only a MAP sensor which has no problems so no worries in this respect :)

Bye, Arno.

Just thought I would share this for anyone who is running out of graph in pressure range and needs to change the pressure range So when you increase the pressure range from 12-240 to 13-260, it will make your engine run about 8% leaner. To compensate, you can simply select the whole fuel table by right clicking and clicking select all. Then use Edit->Edit selection % and make it 8% richer. For the ignition I would lower the whole table around 1-2 degree and then recalibrate it using the power measurement tool.

Afr will be 14's at idle. Late 13's low load running to late 12's on max boost.

Cock up alert, was just talking to someone about this and spotted my mistake. I meant Low 12's not late 12's at max boost. Sorry

But still not 11's

Don't think your running as lean as you first thought ( or I first thought ) after looking at the maps and various conversations
I've had with various people

Here is a more standard target AFR

Posted Image

And here is a MBR AFR on Bills car

Posted Image

Now on the face of it it looks like the settings on matts map his afr are running at 12.5 WOT depending on what pressure is running

But if you look at the correction numbers under the target AFR table it actually gives a different story
It only actual 12.5 of inlet temps are below 51 degrees
Where as a normally it's at 71 degrees before extra fuelling is added

So in effect if temps could be controlled on a RR than the 12.5 AFR would be being used for max powers but in reality on the road temps are very rare are below this temp

So matt has cleverly used the Tmap sensor on his calibration to control the power
At the same time keeping it safe enough on road/ track use when temps are likely to be higher

😜

The question is nick what do you want to gain Do you have a target ?? You may not need a smaller pulley if you use matt bentleys method

I had the 2.7 laying around for years since I'm not working much at the moment thought I would do some more R&D and see what IATs I get compared to the 2.9, will switch back then and try the different AFR settings, then add som WI

Not impressed just making permanent of a safe ls4 map on the car and the computer crashed big time. Just hope I can recover the situ.
