All these dips people have have made me feel a lot better about it as everone seems to be having with differing degrees even on a RR

but the question is still there whats causing it as it is not just the manifold as oakmeres is from a NA

whats you graphs like on obd tuner martin ( oakmere )

Hi folks,

Started to use OBD-tuner yesterday  :groupjump:

All seems realy well and easy to use. One small question though: I've got my wideband connected to the EGR signalwire and wideband works (checked with a voltage meter). Can anyone tel me if the "AFR" tickbox in the logging-tab shows my wideband signal?

Bit confused since there's also a "EGR" tickbox and that were the wb is connected to (and shows no data! Hence my worries..).

Grtz,

Daniel

Have you switched it on in the settings page along with the correct voltages and delay time It's the one marked AFR Which gives the actual AFR But not the voltage

Yes setup is all done correct following the manual. So afr in the logging tab is the actual afr from the wideban? Great, thank you!

Did my first iginition "improvement" run today, just following the manual.

Gained a whole wooping 3 bhp after adding 1.77 from 90kph. (following the manual)

Also seemed to have shifted my knock retard correction higher up the rpm scale.

Logs are here: http://www.speedster...ive/results.zip

I need some help better understanding what i'm doing.

How do i respond to high knock retard? Where do i start editing my timing to bring it down again?

What do i select in the manual iginition table correction, once knock is fixed up to 7k to get my expected 20bhp more? (im on 280 bhp on basemap for ignition and would like to get near the big 300)

You want to be adding .71 at a time until knock retard is reached It's a good idea to plot your inlet pressures on the ignition table You do it from 100 kpa + ish After you have found the maximum power before you get knock leave that area of the ignition alone And concentrate on the other areas This is quite time consuming but is very effective 1 degree of knock is ok in the software and acceptable

When you have done it throughout the WOT on the power runs reduce ignition by 1 degree Then do a knock retard learn session to correct it on the none wot

Smiley, did you already make a power curve to see how the torque develops?

Then do a knock retard learn session to correct it on the none wot

I asume you mean just a log session then look at the knock retard result?

But then what? I can see i now have high knock between 3250 and 5000 after that 1.77 correction action. I asume i have to change ignition again to bring it back?

I also asume it's not the whole 90 to 260pka from 2000 to 7000 that needs to be recorrected, as that will bring me back to my beginning.

I am trying to understand the exact location in the ignition table to edit, versus the location showing knock correction. (3250-5000)

your pressures are the blue line on the power graph near the bottom of the graph near the knock line

after you have done the WOT use the ignition and knock measurement in the learn mode tab

this will reduce ignition in the table if you have knockt hroughout different pressures

Smiley, did you already make a power curve to see how the torque develops?

That is why i provided the full logs, so you can read them with the odbtuner client.

But here:

I now see i may have to man up and do a run all the way up to 7.5k to get a decent number

where you have that low down knock try putting you ignition to 20 ish as your cams look like they like it there ( just like my stage 2 cams)

there is a lot of trial and error with this
