its the green line not the blue sorry
for your pressures
your setup is running 150kpa @ 2500-180 kps @ 7000 go a few squares above and below

after you have done the WOT use the ignition and knock measurement in the learn mode tab
this will reduce ignition in the table if you have knockt hroughout different pressures
This is what i missed, and is indeed in the manual.
After my powerrun, my kpa values were weird, and did not show the 90 (hence could not correct).
I then did a manual correction on my regular map.
Will try the ignition learn mode thingy again tomorrow evening.

i would find your max power/ignition @WOT first before doing this using the power method

i dont think the learn ignition sessions are very good at adding ignition but very good and removing it, so good idea to add the ignition first ( manually ) then allow the learn session to remove it where necessary

im surprised that your pressures are that low
scrub that i forgot you were M62

where you have that low down knock try putting you ignition to 20 ish as your cams look like they like it there ( just like my stage 2 cams)
Ok, so update my problem area to about 20, do another power run and see what happens on knock.

here is my stage 3 M62 stage 2 cams with 3.1 pulley trace versus yours
Can you email me the full log, so i can better understand your ignition table?
i'll pm you my email adress.

like i say its all trial and error you have to find the sweet spot
Posted 09 August 2015 - 09:01 PM
sent you a email,
ps it took 2 months to find the sweet spot on my stage 3 setup
Posted 09 August 2015 - 09:03 PM
you should also get a wideband fitted

I know.
Just trying to get a grip on what is a silly (small) correction, and what is an OTT correction that may get the engine into trouble.
Comparing stuff works best for me to get an understanding.

That's on my todo list

Laptop in the boot for Zandvoort... ;-)
Have to refresh my OBD skills a bit, but is there a table with ignition correction for temperatures? As Smiley's looks to be running less ignition (up top) than commanded @ 180KPa

I don't think so.
All you can see in the client software, is all i can see.

That log shows ~17° advance at max rpm, but your ignition table commands 18.8° @ 7000rpm and 180KPa...
(Think that is why your torque/power drops down near max rpm, but ignition tuning takes a lot of time and experience....)
Edit; think there is an IAT-ignition correction table in the Z22SE ecu, but not accessible through the OBD client software. And that is the table Peter changes when people complain of the power fading away on higher track temps...

I believe you can get a custom one on request from Peter with less fade then starting at 57 degrees.
It's not in the client software, but quite a few cars have been done i heared, so Peter is comfortable with this by now (hearsay).

ignition is pulled by knock
fuel added for temps
there maybe a something happening in the back ground
