Did they not have a disclaimer as they were a special order and and use was beyond their control. Just some thing of a similar nature happened to me a while ago this was the reply I got back. Nb it was not Rimstock

Did they specify 'track use only'when they supplied them Nev? That's the usual 'get out' in cases like this.

No, their website info makes no distinction. A wheel should be fit for it's basic purpose IMO, which is to be strong enough to cope with roads. Full stop.

I had been using my old TD1.2 wheels on those roads for years and they were fine. Once I changed to Rimstock's TD1.3 wheels one of them bent in a short space of time. I suspect it is simply because they are not strong enough.

Fear not JG, they are soon to be seen on a VX again, albeit the rears will be a bit wider ;)

I am currently considering taking them to small claims court for not supplying goods fit for their purpose.

Be wary of buying wide wheels, they commonly crack/bend on the inside barrel where they are not supported.

Seems abit contradictory to me?

As stated the council are the best people to approach. The winter before last I had atleast 20 customers in Coventry get a pay out from the council as the roads around here were falling to pieces due to the weather

Damn the ATS ones looks great, Got in mind the fact that the vx220/speedster is quite sharp in the edges these might look great:

:yeahthat:

Surely the wheels are fit for driving on roads... However if you crash up and down potholes then that's unmeasured stress that they cant warrant against. They also produce wheels based on a set of known parameters, I would assume?

I seem to recall that TVR had big issues with speed6 wheels buckling? Due to the size and dish shape.

I think those black ATS are only available in 18+ so you would need some body arch mods to fit them

These are ATS Racelights but doesn't look like they make them for the VX, just saved me having to sell a kidney

A few different angles of the DTC's.
I've used mine on road and track, driven to Germany, daily commute, no issues as of yet.

They only just fit and if I didn't have a few deg camber they would rub on the arch lip.

Do most people who have this wheels have to do this otherwise they will rub?

Your Vx looks very nice in the first pic btw :)

Some cars need more than others I believe, but if you are doing this then most would have already had a geo or get one, so there will likely be 2 deg plus neg camber anyway. Unless you have asked for less. It looks better in that pic because I didn't take the photo I think :P
