I'm afraid I have to take myself off the list. My ongoing engine problems may well end up eating my available budget :'-(

I’m still interested and I’m in a position to pay, however has anyone had a clear response from Tweeks where these wheels are coming from and why? It seems a bit odd that TD would make a very short run of wheels that are very close in design to a wheel that they already produce. Were they made for a race series or OEM that no longer wants them? Also how many people are needed for this to go ahead?

I suspect, and this is only a guess, that they are the standard TD 1.2 casting with the branding machined off. Machining off the branding will allow them to be sold at a lower price than TD set as they can not be officially connected with TD.

That's what I was told when I placed my order.
Personally, it makes little difference to me whether the branding is on the rim or not. It is still a TD 1.2.

It will take longer than 5 weeks for rimstock to get any wheels out to DT.

I am interested in a set of wheels, happy to wait until mid March but having read the thread from start to this point am still unclear as to delivery time or even if this is up and running? Do I just call DT? Who has actually parted company with money so far?

Hi Guy's I have had a chat with DT and to be honest the time frame for these wheels is going to be 12 weeks or more. This does not fit in with my time frame as we will be looking at getting them by mid May, that it also assuming that people get their finger out and place orders. I believe they have had 5 confirmed orders, and I was going to be number 6. I have decided to place an order for the standard TD 1.2 and that is an extra £100 but I can have these in 4 weeks or less

Can I ask you how much (exactly) you paid for the TD 1.2's?
