Not looking too bad considering you were flat in 4th gear so I'm guessing 100 mph ish?.... What was the impact speed I'm guessing 50 mph?

Jez said the Marshall reckoned it went 3ft up in the air...... before landing :o

Bloody hell....

Agree that what you are doing Mark is the next step up from what we do. I spend my entire time trying to find space on track and if I have an off it is my fault entirely.

Wheel to wheel is far more demanding and risky.

Well I dont know about that but I was out on my own, ten minutes from a podium finish as the third place car in front of me had a time penalty and I didnt get the car over the line. My fault, no one elses.

But you had already been in the wars in the crowd getting to that situation, that is what I was talking about.

Cars stripped out now. Got a bent rear lower wishbone and a bent track rod end. Mechanically thats about it. Going to take the steering rack out to check its not fractured anywhere and rebuild the corners with new wishbone bushes, ball joints, bolts, wheel bearings and powder coated wishbones. Suspension will be back together by tomorrow evening, then I'll put the sill on, repair the clams and refit. Should be mostly done by the end of the weekend hopefully.

Glad the car got away so lightly on the mechanical front and progress has been as swift as it has. thumbsup

Are you using a pattern sill or the real thing?

Glad there isn't any more damage. I was concerned about the wishbone mounting points when I saw the damage.

Got a genuine sill coming so hopefully no fit issues. The car struck the tyres flat on the side so the load was well spread, had it hit on a corner at the speed I was going the tub or the sub frame would have been finished.
