First in class was a Gen 4 Clio Cup in full race spec...

Even with the fattest of drivers it still comes in at about 176bhp per tonne, smack bang in B class. That does not include the 25kg for the seq gear box.

Quite said by sad team and extremely poor scruternering...

Mark did great and so did all the team.  Qualified 2nd in class and grid position 12 and ended the race 13th and 2nd in class. As mentioned above the Clio that one was out running Class A cars but none the less Mark drove a stonker.  A few pictures of the day below -

The whole experience was great! A true testament to Mark's approach to racing and general zest in getting such a team around him! Everybody does a great job! I reckon about 20 people turned up to help ... Well 19 and me... Although I did help kill a hotdog and burger! ;-)

Brilliant, well done Team Penny, an excellent result and a testament to what you are achieving out there. Much scarier than Time Attack but I can remember the buzz of being in a crowd especially at the start.

 

That green and white Leon used to be Gerry Atkinson's car and he won his class in that car in last year's Time Attack.

Just watched the videos, they're great to watch. Thanks For posting! The mid corner and corner exit speeds compared to the cars around you was impressive. Looked like a scary moment when the fiesta started to push you on the straight by the pit entrance - dealt with very calmly! Keep up the good work. Looking forward to the next installment.

The Fiesta was an overall faster car (class A or B ) and it was my faster corner exit speed that got me into the position where he tried to shut me off. TBH I saw it coming and as he was heavier and the pit wall was beckoning I decided attack was the better form of defence so I tapped him twice just to let him know I was there!!!
