mark will be a long, no doubt, to relay the next bit of bad luck to scupper the teams plans but thanks for your concern Kieran, hopefully a good nights sleep will knock the lurgy on the head. Mark you did really well this w/e and Jez and Ben were just fantastic, not forgetting Paulie and wiggy for their efforts. Big thanks to Henry for making sure everyone was well fed and watered throughout the whole weekend.

Just got home absolutely knackered. Finished 3rd in class today in Team Trophy. Was lying 2nd and catching  the 1st placed BMW which was six seconds ahead at the rate of 2 seconds a lap with three laps to go then on the third from last lap I ran low on fuel and after each of the 3 left hand corners on the track the engine cut out for about 5 seconds so had to slow the pace down from 1:49 laps to 1:57 and short shift and the third placed Clio overtook me. Finished 17th in race with a grid of 44 so all in all a huge bonus after Saturday evenings gearbox problems.

 

Huge thanks to everyone who turned up over the two days to support me, its much appreciated. But the biggest thanks go to Jez and Ben from BoT who worked in the paddock in the plssing rain on saturday night til gone midnight changing the gearbox.

 

Next race is Track Day Trophy at Silverstone on 7th Sept. We will also enter Team Trophy on the same day with Jez and myself as a two driver team.

 

Oh yes, the little car was absolutely epic, it really did show most of the Class A cars the way round the corners!!!

Aah! My retinas!! You put this photo of this beautiful car there ... and then Jez's noggin! Mark, sorry to hear about the fuel =( I take it refuelling is not allowed in TDT / TT? Does this mean that on tracks like Sstone you'd be proper stuffed? What's the answer? Bigger fuel tank?

Entry lists are out for Saturday at Silverstone There are two S1 Elises in Team Trophy, one in class A and one in class B, and an s2 Elise in Track Day Trophy.

It'll be fine!! The more experienced driver crashed a 993 into a 968 on about the third lap of TT at Brands GP taking them both out!!

Mark with his trophy from the track day trophy race yesterday..... unfortunately just missed the podium in team trophy with Jez. Fantastic drive from them both very fast and consistent.... ( apart from one slight excursion from Jez) I was on the pit wall for a change monitoring the timings so I should know really enjoyable day once again... Just need to clear the bloody mid pack class b's as getting tangled with them was hurting the lap time!




My spot for the day along with the rest of the crew!
