Meh, not that bad really. Given the cost of a new set of headlights you could probably get all that custom work done and the headlights for the same price

My inner Chav likes them, how bright are they in daylight?

I can't seem to get on picture what i see with my eyes.
I can see the individual leds, but the camera also without flash, just shows a bright ring.

With citylight on the left:

With main beam and citylight on the left (right does not have main beam fitted)

i'm going to order some H1 and H7 leds also, as i really like the brightness for cheaps.

So the effect is more fairy lights than halo? Would some form of light diffuser ring help? (if indeed you see it as a problem)

Yes and yes.
For myself i just want a visible solution that does not melt the headlight casing.
If your looking for cheap halos to mimic a beemer, this is not it.

I got the 100mm's in, but they need retrimming, as expected they're to big. Dremel time it is. (i'm not the fastest diy'er so give me time ;) )

The 100mm cannot be trimmed on the inside. It cuts the wiring part when i tried that.

So i cannot get the 100mm to fit flush.

After another search i have found some 95mm ones, that should fit better. (there were no 95mm ones back in early 2013)

They also form a full halo, instead of a bunch of leds.

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=191062569019

If that fails to fit, there is also some sort of flexible version i can try:

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=251376657237

(they requires some sort of inverter, like included in the kit above)

I'm with Chris... Hideous. The raised corner at the leading corner of the swage line between wing and upper clam centre section looks horribly awkward & out of keeping with the rest of the car. It also looks like there are inconsistent gaps around some of the radii where the units meet the bodywork. Nasty. Horribly, horribly nasty.

I like the lights just they sit to high. They almost need to be brought down to match the lines on the clam.

As mentioned last feb (oh dear; slow modder alert), they now have an (affordable) full halo version.

Result is much better, and the way forward for me.

(ignore the wiring and the yellowness of the rings. This is just a mock up headlight. Rings will be sprayed black to match my tubby light)

For some reason, now the 95mm version is spot on, and the 80mm is just a few mm to small.

Will order the 85mm, and use that set.

Very happy with these.

Sample of the 95mm: http://cgi.ebay.co.u...em=161058846022

And a pixie for once the add is gone.

Shenzen rulers. They should stick to electronics.

Hmmm, edit rights allready gone.

Ah well. Just wanted to add these are just what i was looking for.

The ring is much thinner in width, and thickness, does not show any leds and shows a full (very white) halo.

What did you use to bond them to the headlight?
