There's a 12% discount code for Toyo's from Camskill in the Premium members section, IIRC. Not sure if it's still active or whether it covers both R888 and R1R's but if that's now invalid, there's probably a similar one via SELOC (you'll need to be a member though).

The other option is to try and get some of the newly sized Avon trackday tyres that they've made available for the various Lotus racing series, this year. They'll have a 195/50 16 option but it may well just be another cut slick of the R888/A048 ilk.

the discount code still works on R888 , worth about £73 just on a complete set , easily worth the membership contribution

Except I don't think you can get them in the UK. I've certainly never seen them listed anywhere.

Maybe you can get the TD 1.3 (1.2) wheels fitted with R888 tyres before they are sent. Their tyres are a little more expensive than those discounted at Camskill, but it will save you having to find and pay a local tyre station to fit and balance them.

Once you've decided on Tyre choice I'd ring round local outfits as I got my AD08's, balanced & fitted cheaper than any National delivered price.

I've gone for some Federal 595 RS-R's 205/45/16 and 225/45/17, all for £330 delivered. Slightly off topic but i've got a new set of toe links to go on the rear, they're genuine vauxhall items, they'll be alright for 595's for a year or so won't they?

I've looked at these, very cheap for a particular non-usual VX size I'm after but they do have mixed reviews online, any bad experiences from your mates perspective?
