Just in case anybody's waiting for a replacement clam, and I gather that some people are experiencing delays... My local Vauxhall dealer recently roped several of them together and floated them down the river as rafts during a Bedford festival. Personally, I don't know why they just can't deliver them by road...

I have been chasing for the last week as it looked like end of August for mine and PaulCP. Spoke to a v helpful chap @Vauxhall today called Brian who is a retail customer service manager - I was trying to get some answers on the delays. Good news is that 6 have been delivered to Vauxhall Friday and should be with dealers in the next day or so Brian even found out the latest on the VXR

I'm jealous that you have a VXR on order... However, when I eventually get my VXT and an AMD stage 2 at least I'll have a great daily driver. Not likely to track it so the standard turbo setup, which I believe is still pretty great by most cars standards, will just have to do. Life's full of compromises!

My clam turned up in 7 days unfortunately some of the mounting clips were broken by the dealer on fitting and they are on back order with not ETA Have not seen the car in over 3 weeks now and could be a lot longer at this rate, only consolation is I have an SLK as a courtesy car , keeps the wife happy anyway
