George took it on him self to attack the fuel pump there was a lot of swearing removing it and I'm sure at one point we had tree hands in the small hole
Whilst I attempted to mount the alternator and manifold
The alternator has been on and of three maybe four times today so it does not foul the manifold
Attempt 1
I didn't realise you had to cut away at the plastic casing
Finally happy with the positioning from the side
I then looked underneath and saw the starter motor wires were close to the manifold
So I moved the smaller wire,
I am still worried about the larger wire.
Can somebody who has done a conversion please reassure me or at least tell me I have to move it,
I can get my finger right around the big lug do it is clear but very close
What do you think
It's currently like this

Told you it was tough! !
I struggled more with those poxy clips that hold the fuel lines on than i did with the chuffing circlip! The turbo ones are a little different and much easier to pinch and remove with your fingers.
My dremel has seen better days and the battery wouldn't hold charge. Couldn't be arsed do anything else so opted for standing around swearing at it. Only other job i was interested in was removing the driveshaft ready for CV boot change but chill didn't want me to start that job .

Lol. The release ring on my pipe clips was broken on one and that was a real pain.
Cutting the hole was a pig too. Dremel kept munching collets.
Same story with this one. One ring (the blue one) was broken and just loose. The other was completely gone. Not sure whether its been messed with before as there was a lot of black tape around and what seemed to be damaged plugs, no access hole though.

That's the issue I had at Brunters :-/ , it rubbed through and shorted out . I got a longer new lead ready made from Halfords and fitted it , been fine since :-)Today's progress has been moving forward at a steady rate,

It could be overlooked very easily and unless you get under the car and have a good look you would miss it

Can anyone confirm that the instructions are right on ChrisUK instructions are correct because there is conflicting stories on the thread
And can a mod make the thread clearer and delete the wrong instruction
