Knobs wouldn't move either they were solid But they were quite soft ( the shocks ) even when I got home and managed to turn them with tools on to the hardest stiffest setting The clicks are more clicky now and seen to locate a lot better before they were quite smooth and you didn't really no where you were on the clicks I think I'm going have to save up for sone different ones

The rsr's I've replaced have always been because of worn edges (inner and/or outer). I ran higher pressure's at Anglesey and had increased camber. It helped a bit and I think the 1" ARB will help some more. I'm going to try different tyres next time. Maybe the nankang ns2r or Avon zzs.. I'll be interested how you find the tyre wear on the rsr's. I've only got 3 track days from the rears but they're pretty dead now.

The rears which are on now 235 wide have done 3 track days and quite a few road miles and are just above wear markers The fronts have been on a long time 2 1/2 years and only noticed the shoulders at Anglesey they passed a mot a month before I suspect the shocks have played a part I did surfer with bad bump steer which was there before but not as bad as it was at Anglesey

My front 888s have done 3 trackdays and 1k miles and insside is on wear markers which I'm blaming on the geo setup or lack off!

well its that time again to buy brake pads,

The last set were RC6 which have lasted a little longer than the RC5+ pads i had last time (1 track day RC5+)

Has anyone had any experience with the pagid range im after a pad which will last longer or as long as the RC6.

The RC6 definitely didnt have the byte of the RC5+ pad

so im after some information on these two types of pad

Pagid RS14 Brake Pads

Pagid RS42 Brake Pads

is one a more endurance pad than the other

and what differences is there in these pads

i have no experiences with the paigid range so any info would be great #

I thought the rs42 was supposed to be more durable. I run the RS14 and get 5/6 trackdays from the fronts, rears are still on and going strong. Does your ARB squeak?

I've had two sets of RS14s and can't fault them. Great initial bite, good resistance to fade on track and fine for road use. The CL6s I moved to possibly have longer endurance on a long track session but initial bite is not a good. As far as I know the RS42s are not as track focussed a pad as RS14s. Full details on the Pagid website of course

Looks like the RS14 are worth a try However it's worrying that they don't last as long as the rc6

Some people may laugh but none of the RC range had the byte I had from the mintex 1155

Have you got cooling to your from brakes to try and lower the pad wear?

I'm going to remove fog lights and put some cooling in As this seems to be the secret of getting pads to last longer

Ferodo DS 2500 pads what are these like ? Ducting via the fog lights keeps the discs a lot cooler certainly noticed a difference.

It'll be a cheapish mod to do but you probably won't know for sure if it makes a difference unless you use the same pads again. I found there was to many combinations of other pads and didn't know what was worse or better so stayed with RC6S. May look again at performance friction once these run out but that will be in a year or so time.

I'm going to fit brake before croft with the old rc6 on the car but unless it's significant better I will have to change pads at the track 👍
