Yes but it's still hanging from under dash

Suppose now I'm putting air under wheel arches I should do something to let it out

 

There's a big arch shaped hole in the outside of the clam.  I suspect the air will escape there!  If not you're welcome round to make your own louvres.

May be a stupid question but do you have to remove the arch liners for these louvres to have any effect at all?

Or modify them.

 

Unless you simply want the louvres for aesthetic reasons

Right. I'd never have them purely for aesthetic reasons. So a hole in the top of the arch liner is the usual method? Guess you just have to put up with (more) crap getting in.

Put some chicken mesh or something over the hole. It'll stop stones being flung at the underside of the clam or if you're really unlucky through the louvers at your windscreen.

mesh them, otherwise your paintwork will be peppered with grit etc

Personally I see little point in them, the wheel arch itself is a massive vent hole.

im back from croft and the car is a complete different animal from Anglesey

 

it took a while to get used to how much better the car turned in

it really was night and day from angelsey
