went out for a little blast today and all is not good

would seem zandvoort has taken its toll on the car didnt really want to have to take the clam off before snetterton but looks like its coming off so i can stop the car from melting

Posted Image

as you can see the manifold has got very hot and melted all the heat shield on the inside of the boot

Posted Image

so ive ordered some nimbus and exhaust wrap

i didnt want to wrap the manifold on the exhaust as i figured i wanted as cool as possible to prevent cracking the manifold

not really what i wanted before snetterton but owning these cars dont always go to plan

I have also added two little heat shields either side of the manifold. I made mine out of alloy with heat proof matting but nimbus should work better. Did you add any extra under tray vents?

Making a slight modification to my PCV system to reduce the vacuum pressure, as the Harrop seems to be producing  lot of vacuum in the PCV system...

How do you reckon that happens? Vacuum is created in the intake manifold with closed throttle plate (and open bypass valve), so Harrop is doing not a lot at that moment.

But it creates more boost pressure, so more bypass gasses to the crankcase that need improvements to the breathing system...
