Technically we do pay per mile, it's fuel duty (57.95 p per L), however they want the car tax too.

well it was all worth it,

as soon as the sun dried the roads i was out there and soon got in the grove, the car drives true so my DIY type geo is not so far out

and once the tires got warmer i started to really enjoy it again.

cant wait for it to be professionally set-up and the first track day on the 14th of March at Bedford,

I will be using the RSRs at Bedford before making any decisions about my next set

Good to hear it's all back in one piece and working. Even with the home brew geo, it must feel totally different? Did you post pics of all the shiny parts bolted up and looking nice and new? On tyres, staying on RSR's is a good move as you'll be able to assess the affect of the suspension overhaul independently of a change in boots. I'm inclined to stick with the RSR'S long-term. While they're not as sticky as some, it's about having fun rather than setting lap records. The money spent on upgrading to ZZR's/v70a's can be spent on track days. Plus stickier tyres put more strain on toe links, bearings, brakes etc.. Looking forward to the 14th. I have some springs on the way so I'll be interested in the balance of your car vs mine.

£290 to tax the car WHAT the fcuk

Its only 259,73£ in Norway........ :glare:

Wohooo, finally something that is cheap in this country. I pay some £70 in road tax per year :)

Road tax is a combination of emissions and weight (thank you mr Chapman).

And insurance, via a specialist company that has made a deal with the Lotus club (Lotus type 116) for "enthusiast insurance", is somewhat under £200. With lots of dont's and a few do's but it's legal.

Can you do an OBD powerlog in it's recent condition? Would be nice to directly compare with the rolling road numbers.

And best to also log during the measurement to later spot possible Ign retatd etc.

Yes logging will be on I will do a power run straight after it on the way home There is a few reasons why I'm doing it A. Calibrate my wideband B. See what the actual power is in winter C. See what the power is in summer on the same map D. And have a base for water injection and its effects

This will probably one of the very few higer HP direct comparisons of measured rolling road numbers vs the OBD logging tool.

I'm also doing it at EFI in Runcorn where George Bc nev and Dave Hardwick all have there standalone mapped Georges stage 4 turbo made approx 306 bhp So think it's quite a accurate rolling road

Doing the powerun at the same time as the rolling road I hope? Running it simultaniously.
