The question with that is how do I set the RR up to obd tuner The RR will have its own restrictions and the obd tuner is meant to be done on the Road If anyone has some knowledge of what to put on OBD tuner settings for a RR run o will do it

Just the same as the RR conditions. Its about rolling your wheels at a certain speeds nothing more nothing less. RR and OBD alike (Peter even tuned the OBD-powerrun on a dyno..).

Make sure the temp, humidity and airpressure is the same as the RR for correct #'s.

I don't think it is easily possible, as OBD tuner calculates the engine power by measuring the acceleration speed of a certain mass with a certain air resistance factored in at speed. (so the car's actual weight and the aerodynamic properties of the VX/Speedster...)

On the rolling road you will be only accellerating the drum weight of the rollers.

Just log the OBD engine parameters during the RR run...

You will have more air resistance during a powerrun but you also have more cold air during a powerrun. As far as I know the rest is just mass * acceleration like any other blackbox / G-tec HPcalculator.

Anyway, it's just 1 click on the button...

I will give it a go But don't think it will work Will do a log also And power run straight after RR on the road using obdtuner

Mr Mantaa sounds wise,  log will be raw data and then factor other stuff around it

The mass of the car is not accelerating during the RR session...

(And if it does accelerate while strapped down, you probably will have some other issues to solve... )

No the mass of the car is not moving, This is counterparted by the rollers of the dynobank. Now if the resistance or weight of this roller matches the weight of the vx then you can have a simular powerrun.

Yet again... Peter tuned the OBD powerrun on a hubdyno... So dyno#'s will match the OBD powerrun more or less (dont start the different dyno read different #'s now... you know what I mean here). Even more... MarkV tested this simultanious meassurment aswell on a wheeldyno (dynojet) and had comparible results.

When I'm done finetuning I'm gonna strap it on a wheeldyno (dynojet) and do a powerrun aswell.

Cant see the problem here of just pushing 1 button during the RR run. Logging your run is allways sensible.

Talking about mass moving:

Yep, Peter tuned his OBD powerrun tool by comparing it with some dyno measurements, but the way the power is measured is completely duifferent.

OBD => measure the acceleration of a moving mass in time; so it logs the vehicle speed increments an calculates with vehicle mass and some ambient air correction factors.

These G-force type of things, which have a G-sendor and can directly measure the acceleration forces of the car and calculate power.

Dynojet type => measure the (rotational) acceleration speed of the heavy rolling road drum in time.

Brake dyno => measure the torque it takes to hold the RR on a steady wheel/engine speed on small intervals. These dyno's are also great to tune the engine on, as you can fix the rpm tune for max torque.

(ps; I heard OBD was pretty accurate to ~280Hp, but above 300 the result varied... But let's wait on Chills outcome.)

Any body willing to take a guess on the power to one decimal point on RR

I can't remember what obd says apart from 'lots'. 1. Vimes 374.2bhp (flywheel)

I will put money on it that's it's over 330 bhp. My stage 3 made 313bhp and I've been in the car with Chirs and I know it's a good few more bhp then that. My guess is 364.7 bhp 🚗
