I asume you're not on an obdtuner pro beta, but talking about 2.7.9 versus 2.7.7?

Maybe open your map(s) on both versions and see.

Think Chill talks not about mapping changes, but more the difference in power measurement oucome 2.7.9 vs his older 2.7.7 numbers...

The power management run is executed via the ecu only. (with the run variables entered from the client) The result file is then pulled from the ecu for analysis by the client. That file can be opened by both versions.

But the power calculation is in the client software... I have an even older OBD version (where you can manually input injector parameter values. ) saved somewhere that gives different power numbers from the same logged powerrun than later versions.

Yes, hence my remark to open the file in both 2.7.7 and 2.7.9.

That would be an easy way to see where the differences are. Post the powerrun log for us.

(I have the 2.7.1.6 version on my laptop and an even older one saved somewhere.)

All I no is the car felt good before going to the RR with the new transient setting I tried

While it was on the RR it didn't make the power I was expecting but chris said the transient is terrible
Lol
Made 338 on the RR

Posted Image

The car was rich on the rollers
Came home and today I checked on the obd
The car felt sluggish
But the power output matched the rollers

But I occasionally got a misfire
Did logs etc and somthing was not right it was running rich

At lunch i decided to remap it
Fuel learn
Knock measurement picked up quite a lot of knock especially top end ??
So there was a bit ignition being pulled because of this

My ignition map then was all over the place

So smoothed this out manually and added where I made power and dos have to remove a bit where there was a touch of knock nothing significant but got rid anyway

The ignition map soon started looking like it was last year
Wacko 🤔🤔🤔

A other power run and things started to look like I was expecting

This to comparisons is where it was at around 2:30 and where it is now

Can you see if you were getting KR from the logging on the rollers? Also the runs look smoother than last years with no strange dip

Normally a hard knock or something that needs corrected (by the ecu) can result in going to a second safe map in the ecu (the ecu uses this map as a safe base map to prevent damage). I dont think this is in our ECU's though. We only have the safefail with temps (the 57C thing).

1.1 bar @ 80% DC should be ~370bhp according the calculator. Keep in mind you ran rich at 11.2:1 so some lost horses there.

Can you post the transient map you use now?

What were your wheelHP numbers btw?

Inlet temps during the RR run? Some retarding because of hot temps?

there was no retarding from heat on the RR the temps were very low and ive had all these safetys removed

the new power is 365PK so lines up with the calculation you are making

i now have 11.8 afr

im going to email Peter to see if there was a reason the ecu would store and keep the retardation

if thats the case

there was also a error code but no eml light

so probably the reason why it was still there today
