wheel power or engine

?

engine

unless this mbr setup is going to be the best ever im tempted to go back to the M62

big decision after this year

back to 300 ish hp ??

What is it that make you find circa 350 BHP too much, the handling or power delivery or brakes or what?

I ask, as when mine was 300 BHP I used to find acceleration a bit slow after about 100 leptons, and really slow after about 130 leptons.

Or are you just getting tired of fiddling about (which would be understandable, many of us have been at that point I'm sure)?

I'm not selling or part ex the vx What I'm saying nev is I've not been able to do a lap quicker with the HArrop on than I have with the M62 So what's the point of the HArrop Like I said earlier if it dosent happen this year the HArrop is going The car is mainly used as a track slag I want the car to lap as quickly as possible for 15 min stints Don't get me wrong the car hits 140 " leptons " in no time but it's all about laptimers for me Everyone has different wants from the vx I want to use it as a track car At 300 ish powers the car was basically flat out balls out driving there is a lot more to it the way it is now and my skills behind the wheel can't keep up or have the skill

Have you had much track tuition Chris? As there must something that can be unlocked from the extra power in terms of time.

That black/red is a real good looking car. Buy it!!

J/K... (am I?)

I think skills are the next thing to upgrade if you want to go faster. The car is ready for it so it seems.

You haven't had time to test it yet and your going to be miles quicker then before. Straight line speed and more power out the corners then the stage 3. Only chance you have had with the Harrop was with crap tyres so you couldn't put power down. I think you will he quicker then before.

With supercharger smoothness I don't understand why having more power would make you slower.

235 sizeten In both vids I've now spent over 5k since stage 3 on suspension setup HArrop exhaust and all the extra bits required So will be finding out if it was all worth it at angelsey on 24th

I think that's the difference between a track driver nev and a road driver If you look at the above vid you will see m62 stage 3 was flat out over back section where as stage 4 required a massive lift because it was 15 mph. Quicker

Yep will be As you can see in your video my corner speeds were a lot less than yours and you were on the power so much earlier Where I found myself waiting for the grip to explode the power It will be a fine comparison for the new setup ARB Quantums And setup

One thing I will say is I couldn't drive either of the two setups quicker on there respected days It could just be beyond my personal limit of confidence in the car / chassis

Chris I've said from the beginning that if you want faster lap times you need to work on your driving with some lessons. You've kinda gone back to front with it all and are now struggling to exploit your car's abilities. You have clearly built an incredible engine there and it would be a shame to take a retrograde step, especially as you've now upgraded the rest of the car to cope. Why not get some lessons booked at Anglesey?

I'm stubborn for one And as for lessons I think they will unleash time for a track with local knowledge but it won't make me a better driver Plus what we're saying is ove got to spend even more money to get the best out of the car which will make me enjoy it even less than the £500 it costs per track day Like I said previously this year is a make or break for the HArrop for me I will still have my engine with the M62 which was a great year for me and gave me most pleasure out of the car and didn't empty my pockets as quickly as the HArrop did I have enjoyed exploiting the HArrop power with the mapping stuff etc but it is all for the track times for me and the fun factor And think the M62 stage 3 is a nice alto under and the RSRs at £250 a set cope very easily with the power ( probably not the best grip ) but easily best fun for the £
