I've read that resonated tips can help a little bit but am not sure I believe it in the real world.

Im going to extend my tip anyway as the exit is very close to the clam ( flame damage )I've read that resonated tips can help a little bit but am not sure I believe it in the real world.
So may aswell put a resonated tip in
To see if they work
I'm also going to put a false tip above to make mine look a bit better
I'm also going to put a DB reducer in the false tip
So it can be moved down stairs if it's needed
The top will also be slightly set back from bottom one
So if the static tester pics up top one there will be a lesser reading 😜

Those dB killers do work, I made one for Nipper and it dropped the noise by nearly 3 dB. However, you need to be aware that they create a good deal more back pressure, so your fuelling may be affected (though your ECUs will modify the fuelling tables appropriately over time presumably). Also your cylinder head temps may rise a bit.

if you know the rpm range of the static test , then you can map that area for less noise , it would not impact wide open throttle performance, just low load.

I've just made the plate ATM nev I've been work to today It will over lap and have many riv nuts around it To clamp it down If it leaks which is unlikely until the wadding falls out 😜 I will put exhaust paste around it
just use pop rivets + paste (or silicone stuff, as that can have some heat). Drill-out/replace when repack is due.

at bedford the static test was 99 Db today a unconfirmed reading of 92Db was recorded at static
the car is significantly quiter especially when cruising around
the car was not as quick as it normally is though ??
