had a bit of a issue with the coilpack which i thought was a bit more serious but it turned out just to be the coil pack rattling round on the saab cover

At the Anglesey national last year there was a quick exige chasing Lee's vx (with George driving). I 'estimated' a couple of their laps in the 1:18's so 17's would have been one of the quickest (if not the) quickest car on track. Would be good to know how much was due to improvements to the driver/tyres/suspension/track conditions. More importantly how did the tyres survive? Are they good for another day?

Looking at your old vids I remember thinking there was nothing wrong with your driving style so the only thing making you slow at the National was clearly the car.

Confidence is certainly key I reckon, and thanks for comment

Doubt you'll get them hot to enough to appreciate them on the road.

You might be a bit surprised, as my front brake discs which are 30mm thick and 330mm wide (i.e. a much larger heat sink than OEM) are sometimes golden/coppery yellow due to heat. I've also parked up and found the fronts smoking a bit on a few occasions. This is only since my upgrade to RC6 pads after my brake conversion project though.
