Rc6's are quite abrasive on the discs when cold.. You should really stick with the rc5+ pads if your not going to track it. When discs get propperly hot, hot enough for you to worry about they go blue. You might be a bit surprised, as my front brake discs which are 30mm thick and 330mm wide (i.e. a much larger heat sink than OEM) are sometimes golden/coppery yellow due to heat. I've also parked up and found the fronts smoking a bit on a few occasions. This is only since my upgrade to RC6 pads after my brake conversion project though.
Doubt you'll get them hot to enough to appreciate them on the road.I've never tried any Pagids, what's their coeff of friction when hot please?

Looking good. I'd have thought you'd be comfortably under 1:38 at Croft on a clear day. Hope the weather holds up for you.
cheers about the weather but not sure it will be easy to get in the 1:38 ive always found it difficult to get a flying lap in there without hitting traffic
the best ive ever done is a 1:40 with traffic

Absolutely, In the dry I'm in the mid 1:37s and Croft is a power circuit so you should easily top that. Just be brave through Clervaux, the Jim Clark Esses and Barcroft and you will easily do it.
You should be looking to get close to Cliffies 1:30.

Have you retained the seat belts with the JK's, or are you using just the harnesses?
