I did that before adding the ignition, Peter changed his to 0.85 so I thought to it first then I could always try 0.78 later on on top of the ignition

After spending the last two weeks of work on the car I think a few hours watching a great film with the wife was well deserved

I also got a email back from peter It looks like I've got to turn Off the oem protection as there is a lot of heavy retardation even with low knock So it's time to reduce ignition by 2 degrees with protection off and see where we are Then see how it goes Frank has also sent me some data to read up on

That's interesting. Everything  under 1 still ignored by the ecu, or stuff between 0 and 1 also impacts retardation?

Do we know the retardation correction for knock?

In pro you can set up between rpm / kpa how much the knock is ignored and reacts

I was thinking of the time needed to spend to get it all flat (ie as close to 0 if possible) if it''s worth it.

For the non pro users out there.

If your going for water injection surely all of this has proven you need a failsafe map and Be able to control from the ecu

Let me refrase.

Is it worth it for regular obdtuner people to battle knock between 0 and 1 degree in the mapping?

ie does the ecu protection kick in under 1, and if yes how much?

To my knowledge under 1 the ecu protection is nothing above 1. It certainly does retard ignition
