To my knowledge under 1 the ecu protection is nothing above 1. It certainly does retard ignitionLet me refrase. Is it worth it for regular obdtuner people to battle knock between 0 and 1 degree in the mapping? ie does the ecu protection kick in under 1, and if yes how much?
Thanks,
Does pro show the retardation correction from the oem protection?
(ie how many between 1 and 2 degree knock, 2 to 3 degreee etc?) I am very interested in understanding the standard protection features, due to it;s black boxed nature.

So am i stefan,
ive been out this morning and the car is now just better, the way it pulls etc etc
ive sked peter a few questions and i dont even know at this point if this is the same protection peter disables in V2 with stronger engines,
im sure it will all come to light but what i can tell you turning it off has worked the water injection map is now consistent which i was wasent getting before due to the protection
i now dont think ive fpunf the optimum ignition but do feel comfortable now it will be safe for me to use on track

Ignition is not optimised it probably needs a little more ignition at the top But I'm happy now to use itIs it me, or does it show not much use to rev it over 7k?

Would be fun to hit 400, and match Artic Monkey with a larger pully.....

It would be a clear message towards silly pullies though.

Maybe the water injection projects will make the most of the silly pullies

Previously reported on those codes:
P1271 = Corroded or poor contact on connections on throttle loom. (Clean with contact spray or fix) = Wiring near stickshift exposed/damaged.
P1514
= scangauge set to showing more then 3 values = faulty injector = faulty map sensor = Leak in inlet manifold

ITs a good job i fetched the hole 25 litre bottle of water Lol Getting about 15 mins out of the header tank But the power is hanging on very well Will try and get some data this afternoon Down side I've had a 1271 code pop up a few times and got a 1514 I think it was first thing this morning
Are you experimenting with the minimal amount of water needed to keep your track temps under control?

iirc he is using the washer bottle tank, so i don't think he has much choice.
