Phew, Georges car certainly takes off like a scalded cat.

You guys really should try your hand at rock climbing, the adrenalin and intensity of the moment is much the same, though of course you also get fit too. Most indoor climbing walls do intro lessons (makes a good present for Xmas or B'day).

Update Next month I'm going to croft with lee, luke, and Joe with LOT which I'm going to use as a bit of a practise day a few days before a sprint also at croft on the 25th June which I'm really looking forward to I'm now really happy with the amount of water I'm now adding in to car to keep the inlet temps down Which is as little as possible , I've also setup pro to reduce the amount of water when the temps are already low ( below 40 degrees ) by 90 % of target and also 110% when inlet temps go more than 60 degrees I've also been exploited a few of the other features in pro I'm now using the wideband to control the fueling for anything other than idling Future plans I've been posting on a other thread about reducing the wheel size of the to 15" wheels which now looks like it's going to happen one way or a other The ZZRs are coming to the end of there life now but have a new set of rear R888R to go on rather before the sprint or just after So then when they are dead I'm hoping to have the 15s ready to go on the car

...i have a question regarding the Aquamist system? Is it only connected with the EGR out port to get the data how tho spray? Or is it also connected with one of the injectiors?

Just the egr I assume peter has picked up the INjector from the ecu to the egr Then the failsafe uses the wiring from the redundant second lambda

In the moment I have some strange problems with my Snowperformance system. I hope I can cure it. But the Aquamist is damn expensive. But I believe it is the better system Thanks for your answer!

attention has now moved towards croft sprint on the 25th month (really looking forward to this )

list of things to do

1. hard top on

2. bleed brakes

3. possibly new set of tires (already in garage just in case )

also going to croft a few days before for a track day to home in on the track

Now im going for the win, but a few things have crossed my mind since entering, ive entered in class B2 which my car fits in to the regs absolutely fine, how ever the rules in classes are quite lose and subject to javelins thoughts, so could get moved up a class if its seen that i have to much of a advantage how ever if i get bumped up there is  probably little chance of winning against cars on non E marked tires

no i dont no how me and the car are going to compare to other competitors and im certainly not taking a win for granted but by the looks of things i dont want to win by a huge margin (which might not even be possible )

so my thoughts are if weather conditions look to be the same through out the day

1st run get a banker in not fast but hopefully this will give me a idea on the competition but there probably also playing games

and take it from there and build up as the day goes on

from a car point of view

looks like i will be queuing up towards each run which means the car is going to be hot so i have  reduced my road map fan start point to 92 degrees so the coolant should be cool , then when i switch to the water injection map just before run the fan will stop as the fan will trigger at a higher temp  probably 105 or something like that

tires and brakes are going to be cold which is playing on my mind a little so starts will be like miss daisy i think unless i decide to be a thug and light up the tires in a attempt to get some heat in then ?? not decided yet

on the track day a few days before i will be pushing on the first lap trying to get a feel for things when tires and brakes are far from optimal

Has anyone else got any other tips or ideas for standing start one lap events

tire pressures etc ?

I'm sure I've read tyre manufactures recommendations on warming up tyres and they say a couple of gentle heat cycles is the way to go rather than lighting them up which can knack the rubber. Will they be brand new tyres? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Set cold tyre pressures slightly higher than for a track day. It's an alien feeling not doing a lap or two to warm everything up so its worth practicing a fully committed out lap during the track day. Tyres should be warm in a couple of corners. I'd aim to spin the tyres a bit but not a complete bonfire.
