I do know him. I went out in his supercharged atom about 10 years ago and he was proper quick then. He bought his second atom for the cup race series which he raced in for a few years and was pretty successful. Atom cups are a 245 bhp race version but it looks like he's done some bits to it since I last spoke to him.

It wouldn't surprise me if the engine was just the standard one, a 600 kg car with one hell of a driver should easily post some very very quick times.

It had very aggressive cams in it but if I'm honest I wouldent know what is in it as standard, it had a tdi north sticker on it and they do some awesome things with Honda engines

Turns out to be competetive and friendly series nick I'm hoping to do Anglesey later in the year and will see work about doing a full series next year, if I was retired and would do a full season lol The car was faultless didn't even refresh the brake fluid after cadwell, will do that before the national though I've reached a point with the car where subject to a slight handling issue I have on the brakes and getting on the power ( wider wheels and tires I hope will solve this ).

i dun geddit...whats that pic supposed to be? whats 'impulse'? diffusers are pressure driven and are one of the best sources of dragfree downforce you can get. you need to design it properly (which none generally are, sadly) and maximise the pressure drop. add a proper rear aerofoil if you want to try and pump the diffuser more. adding a 'fin' is just going to add drag.

What I epic weekend overall at national the car was great fun and quick ish in the morning but didn't seem to have the grip on the afternoon

After going over some aspects of the car this morning it all becomes clear why

Not good and not first time I've had bolts come lose on them
