Today I've been mostly trying to get boxes to go green, The lower revs are done but its harder and feels wrong higher up the rev range

Fun isn't it. Don't forget to apply the changes to the base map and save it. I did my higher rpm mapping on a motorway late at night mostly in 3rd gear. Don't worry about getting the light to go out all the time you won't do it for higher rpm like you can for the lower rpm. 2nd or 3rd gear 5000 - 6000 then 6000 to 7000 I probably did this 20 times and had good data. I have to say I was cream crackerd by the time I had finished.

I also feel bollocksed today,
It's quite consuming looking for revs with a light on
And you find yourself looking at dials more than the road

Even more BOLLOCKSED today It's hard work driving the vx, Mapping went well its straight forward but you do have to put the health of your car in the hands of a program

It's easy to do that bit ie start mapping etc Would be better if I had a track to map the car To hit the boxes it takes a lot of concentration Ended up going for a ride to Wrexham with George whilst still mapping

Ok I think we are there, I haven't done a power run yet but I suspect my standard manifold will be holding the car back. What power have people achieved with standard manifold, I have also come up with a name for the car I have christened the car MARGO

With standerd manifold you still should get 250-260 stage 2 Good to read about this as this is the route I will be going with the harrop .

You don't have to look at the laptop,
It stores the data in the temporary memory of the ECU then you send it to the laptop,
You only have to concentrate on the EML light

I haven't got any reference points, But I'm hoping to get together with John turbo to compare a courtenays map to the Dutch He is running similar setup, just exhausts are different

Dutch ECU does exactly what it says on the tin
And if you want to take matters in your own hands you can do that to. ( I won't be I will be using the program to make the important decisions )

Ok I've been plying with the software again today, Couldn't get the power to work in second gear but it did work in third, 251.3. Bhp. @ 6300 revs But the torque figures 278 NM @ same revs I only got 1 run in so don't no how accurate these are but I'm thinking of giving it a other go later
