Going to book a other javelin sprint day this week at Anglesey for next month And have started to enquire about next years rules/classes so I'm hoping to do a full season next year So I'm hoping to make mods based on rules next year to give me a chance of winning Just hope the 2.2 dosent pose a big disadvantage in the new rules At the moment the car is on the standard brake discs and caliper setup

There's more than one reason But the main one is the money I would have to spend to be able to compete In the sprint series there no requirement to spend a lot , but just need to tweak things I also like the standing start, and there's no sponsors of the series which say you have to use this tire and these bit and bobs

If you're wearing pads out so quickly, try an endurance compound.  I used RS29s in the BM, it's illogical, but they worked as well as the other Pagid compounds but lasted a full season.  I wouldn't have used them unless they were at least the equal of others in the market at stopping the car.  Don't know if 29s are available for our caliper.

I bought a set of RC8s for Pembrey.  Selected during a chat with the distributor Paul at Fortuna Moto.  They amazed me how good they were.  I can't speak for their longevity, but the 6E could be worth a go?

It's not just the pads its more about the pads and disc combo overheating The set of front discs which were inspected by EP have been taken beyond there maximum opperating temp which caused the cracking EP are going to replace the cracked disc as a good will gesture but can't guarantee it won't happen again with my car setup and use, so it's unlikely I will be using them again on the front

Time to put your hand in your pocket. You have one of the most powerful VX's here, it's about time you got a braking system to match :)

Can't run a vx on a fiver and all that.

I wish I had only spent a fiver then it would hurt less Not many guarantees once you get on track not even from AP

Maybe you should give a set to someone known to be very heavy on brakes for analysis and testing to build up a good rep
