Got a matched pair back from Elise parts
To replace the cracked one and it's opposite
It has been done as a good will gesture because I used them beyond what they were intended for

So I have a set back which I can use but won't be using on the front

So 308mm single piece discs are ordered and need to get some spacers
And see how that goes

I think I've now convinced my self to stick with 17/16 wheels rather than going 15"
And also some bigger ducts for the cooling to

they are only matched on the face are they not? the vanes inside still go opposite ways?

if i was you i would just sell them now as they are brand new, make money back on them asap.. then just buy some pagid discs and use them until you decide to spend proper money the correct stuff.

I'm not going to sell them I've got some 308 brembo coming there heavy but cheap, will do until I find some proven bells and rotors 😉So get some mileage on yours and when I've saved up I can consider them

I'd sell them on if I were you Chris. Fixed belled discs on track cars just don't seem to be working. You need floating bells because of the steel and alloy expanding at different rates. Have you thought about getting into the weight saving side of tuning? Anything you can remove/lighten will pay dividends in performance, economy, handling and stopping. If your serious about your trailer idea you could go hardcore on the widget reduction. A Belgian vx that we saw at bilsterberg in the spring was extremely lightened and monstrously fast. I know I'm a fanboy, but lotus forged wheels are the way to go :)

i don't think that not having floating bells caused Chris' issue, i think that it's just down to the sh*t material they use for the rotors tbh..

Maybe in this case but it's not just this car. Joe and Ivor and my mates Elise all had disc issues with various brands. I'd go solid discs with exotic pads and keep swapping the discs as they wear out.

Just install big OEM discs for fast heavy road cars and the problem will evaporate IMO.

I thought the ep ones are rebranded ebc. Maybe we are expecting to much from the alloy heart mod.

Until there is somthing proven with bells and rotors, floating or not I will be sticking with single piece fronts I have the EP ones which I'm using on the rear The winter will probably bring some weight saving
