I agree, although I think floating discs of good quality will sort you out, as I said yesterday I'd definitely go with solid discs at the moment. I'd like to put my car on a diet but I'm struggling to see much to remove while keeping it road legal etc so I'd be interested to see what can be done and look forward to stealing your ideas ;)

The lotus swap saves on the wheel weight, the hubs are lighter and the oem discs are too (but thinner). Unsparing weight is much more important than in board, The Belgian car was a bit like the time attack cars. No boot, lots of clam pieces removed, everything on aerocatches rather than heavy hinges, tilletts, lots of behind the dash stuff gone etc.

Help me mould these clams chill. Carbon ones will cut a big chunk of weight. Won't be cheap but not mega dear.

CH & MG carbon parts or

MG & CH carbon parts

i think i need a other income to save up for chris bells and rotors, plus my kids are getting more and more expensive,

has inflation gone through the roof while my wages have been stagnant

when would you like to start matt, i was hoping to start with some smaller parts like a bonnet or engine cover, i also want a carbon roof,

when do you want to start the moulds ??

we should also start rewinding motors ready for 2040  lol

Gimp composites! I've had a thought for a better engine cover that we should discuss. Can do a roof (easy) and a bonnet (fiddly) whenever you like.

i think gimp composites does have a certain ring to it, im not sure it sounds very professional lol

i saw a red speedster with a coupe style engine cover with slats think its also simular to the one kieren mc has on his, sure that would work in carbon

pic here http://www.vx220.org...e-style/page-13

but im always open to new ideas

Was that not a Dutch red (black rear), lightened car with a massive wing? That's Eelco who was in Bilsterberg with his Harroped track slug. Don't know of a Belgium track-only Speedster, besides maybe the complete black Turbo car from "Vauxhall"...

Maybe, but it was towed on a Saab with a B plate so I put 2+2 together. It was red. Humongous wing! Edit... Found it overtaking WrightStuff on his YouTube vid. It is dutch plate my mistake. Red with a black backside.

I loved the way you could remove the clams in about 3 minutes with the aero catches. Would make so many jobs a doddle!
