well not a lot of things have happened to the car other than a clean but preparation is taking place to make the car lighter, still unsure if this should be turned in to a out and out none road car, (removing lights etc ) or if i should keep it on the road. i am leaning towards removing lights etc and towing the car but will probably get it MOT again and have the option of switching the lights back in. in reality i have only used it on the road for mapping purposes and driving back and to to the tracks but now im starting to carry more and more equipment around in the car and would also like a set of wet tires with i think its time to simply remove it from the road and make it more uncompromising on the track. (oh the air conditioning and driving in comfort).
things are going to be aimed at the javelin sprint series which ive tried a few times this year, possibly moving to the current A2 class dependant on what happens with the rules
1. wider rear wheels
2. learning some new skills and adding lightness
3. service items, fuel filter, oil filter, engine and gearbox oil change,
sure the list will change as time goes on but for now that is a basic plan
item 2 might not be what you think.

Trailer Pro's
A crippled vehicle is not a major issue for getting home
Car can be more focused
Spares (Wheels etc.) can be taken
Fuel cans can be taken
Trailer Cons
You need somewhere secure to store it
Security and Insurance while you are out with it
Tow car/bar etc. required
Finding somewhere to park it when you are in hotels
unloading/loading at track (at least 30 mins either side of your day)
The last point is something I think about at every time I'm at the track and it does make me a bit envious that people rock up late and leave straight away when the day is done.
