Great minds think alike! Does the cc tank need to be at the highest point? Or could you put the tank in low and a bleed valve up high like the one on the fuel line?

I think a watertight cap on the top of the CC tank and a bleed valve/filler high up would work fine.

When I rebuilt my exhaust, I considered running the exhaust pipe up the passenger sill and putting a silencer in the sill and where the water heater exchange matrix is, with 2 exhaust tail pipes exiting the bonnet top or near the front wheel arches, sort of American hot rod style. This would have shifted 20+ Kg from the rear to the front and made a substantial difference to the axle weights and also correct the left/right balance. I was concerned about heat output making the epoxy weaken/fail, and also heating up the brake lines, so abandoned the idea.

If there's a way to shift both tanks to the front, there's going to be benefits on weight and cooling, and the heavy bracket can go. Ecu and cc pump could move forward. There must be more and if you replaced the battery for a tiny one and removed the heater system and used a heated screen [and heated seat pads ;) ] then there'd be a good bit of room for that or even a plumbed in extinguisher. It would effectively remove 1/3 of the bulk at the top of the engine bay so airflow would be much better and could even allow for a more elaborate cold air intake shield above the gearbox so air comes in through the side then is channeled up through the bootlid away from the heat.

ecu isnt heavy tho and the wiring that would be involved to move the ecu would outweigh the ecu in the back

the cc pump is easy to move, as is the cc tank aslong as the filler neck is higher enough to be at the top of the system.

heater system is easy to delete, just blank off at the thermostat.

there would probably be enough room there for chris to mount his water injection pump further forward in the car

I've decided the old wheels will have somthing which will deal with water better And the new tires dependant on the rules in the sprint series could have slicks on them

Going to moving up from the standard 225 rears hopefully will allow me to push harder on the corner exits and help get the power down just a experiment ATM but it can't hurt considering I'm pushing more than double the power of standard Hopefully I can offset the bigger wheels by reducing the weight a little Can't make any final decision on slicks or emarked until rules are announced Plan is to get a class win and class championship next year and if rules are kind I will be jumping from B to A

I'm confused. 255 will not fit without arch extenders. Arch extenders have no use without cut out of clam. Are you saying 255 will fit without cutting somehow?

I had 255's on mine without arch extensions, it was very tight but no rubbing. I think it depends on camber, tyre make, manufacturing tolerances on hubs, clams, fixings etc.
